BIO Girls is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the mental health of adolescent girls by instilling self-worth, resilience, and connection. Through programming focused on emotional coping, healthy relationships, and confidence-building, BIO Girls creates experiences that are not just informative—but truly transformative.
Their 7th Annual Find Your Kind 5K & Youth Run, presented by BCBSND Caring Foundation, brought the community together in West Fargo to support this mission. Designed to be joyful, welcoming, and empowering, the event required an environment that could both energize participants and guide them seamlessly throughout the experience.
To bring that vision to life, BIO Girls partnered with Sign Badgers as a signage sponsor—tasked with transforming the venue into a cohesive, branded experience from start to finish.
The Challenge
The Find Your Kind 5K is a large-scale community event with multiple audiences and moving parts. Attendees needed clear, intuitive wayfinding from arrival to finish line, including parking, check-in, and race flow.
At the same time, the environment needed to feel unified and on-brand. BIO Girls’ identity is bright, empowering, and purpose-driven, requiring signage that could reinforce their message across a wide range of formats without feeling overwhelming.
Beyond functionality, the event presented an opportunity to create a more immersive experience—one that didn’t just guide participants, but energized and inspired them. Expanding visibility into the surrounding community was also a key priority.

Mesh banners and barricade covers helped define the event space while highlighting sponsor recognition, creating consistency across the venue. Branded feather flags and retractable banners further reinforced key areas and gathering points.
At the center of the experience, bold finish line signage and custom floor graphics added energy and meaning. Messaging like “Be the friend you need” brought the mission to life in a simple, memorable way.
