When Make-A-Wish North Dakota envisioned a new space for their organization, they wanted it to feel welcoming, uplifting, and filled with imagination from the moment families walked through the door. To help bring that vision to life, they partnered with Sign Badgers to create immersive environmental graphics and experiential signage that reflected the heart of the Make-A-Wish mission.
The Challenge
The new Make-A-Wish North Dakota space needed to serve many purposes at once. It had to function as a professional nonprofit office while also creating a comforting and inspiring experience for children and families navigating difficult circumstances.
The organization wanted the space to feel warm, hopeful, and engaging rather than clinical or corporate. Every wall, hallway, and gathering space needed to support the emotional experience of wish children while reinforcing the organization’s mission, values, and community impact.
At the same time, the signage and graphics needed to remain cohesive with the nationally recognized Make-A-Wish brand while reflecting the unique personality and spirit of the North Dakota chapter.
The Solution & Impact
Sign Badgers designed and installed a wide range of experiential graphics and branded interior elements that transformed the Make-A-Wish North Dakota office into an immersive and uplifting environment.
Throughout the space, vibrant wall graphics, dimensional lettering, and custom vinyl installations introduced color, movement, and storytelling. Inspirational messaging such as “Wishes Made Real” and “Transform lives, one wish at a time” reinforce the organization’s mission while creating moments of encouragement throughout the office.
A custom “Wish Journey” wall graphic visually guides families through the wish process, helping children and parents better understand each stage of their experience in a way that feels approachable, hopeful, and interactive.
Additional environmental graphics incorporated playful stars, whimsical illustrations, and colorful branded elements that create a child-friendly atmosphere without sacrificing professionalism. Frosted vinyl window graphics featuring words like “joy,” “hope,” “strength,” and “possibilities” further reinforced the emotional impact of the space while adding visual texture and privacy.
Together, these elements transformed the office into more than a workplace. The space now serves as a physical representation of the Make-A-Wish mission — one designed to inspire hope, celebrate possibility, and create meaningful experiences for every child and family who enters.
